Casey created the Genius Garage Educational program in 2013 as a skills bridge from academia to industry. The purpose: to give driven young adults high-level team building and practical skills that are missing from the American educational system to land them top-tier jobs, primarily in engineering. Genius Garage is a 501(c)3 public educational charity in good standing. No BOD member or mentor of Genius Garage takes a salary and all funds are used towards the cost of running the programs.
The flagship educational program is designed for college-aged students and focuses on learning from doing.
In addition, Casey created an aerospace program for young adults that centers around building airplanes. Other programs include: an automotive design program participating in traditional art and design and a STEM program for middle school students and their parents to introduce slot car engineering, building, and racing. The common thread of all the programs is that NO student, or their families, ever pay a tuition. Casey feels it important to give scholarships so students would only be chosen on “what is in their heads and what is in their hearts and not because of their family’s financial horsepower or a DEI quota.”
Since 2013, Casey has dedicated over 11,000 documented hours to volunteer service, earning the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Education from both President Trump in 2018 and President Biden in 2022. Recognized as a hometown hero for his commitment to mentoring youth in STEM, he was also honored with a flight alongside the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in 2019.

A passionate advocate for youth in STEM, Casey has logged over 11,000 volunteer hours since 2013. Historical Support
In 2009, Casey was recognized by the Seneca County Museum for his dedicated service. His contributions spanned community outreach, historic demonstrations, education, and the intricate restoration of historical antiques, such as an 1885 Star high-wheel bicycle.
Children’s Hospital
In 2012 and 2013, Casey created and led the Putsch Racing vs Studio 47 Polo Match and Concours. This event combined a horse polo match with a car show that was family friendly event, showcasing local restaurants and organizations at the Bryn Du Mansion. All funds raised went to support Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
